LOEWE
Performance & accessibility overhaul of a luxury flagship store
On the LOEWE eCommerce platform I owned frontend performance and accessibility. The work removed render-blocking resources, moved the experience to a static-first model, optimised the image pipeline end to end, and brought the interface to WCAG AA — all inside a luxury brand whose slowness directly contradicted the product.

Problem
Users left before the page painted. A luxury brand cannot ship a slow storefront — the delay undermines the perceived value of the brand itself.
Solution
Eliminated render-blocking resources, adopted static-first rendering, reworked the image pipeline, and audited the layout for WCAG AA while it was open for refactoring.
Capabilities shipped
Static-first rendering
Removed render-blocking resources so the first paint is server-ready.
Image pipeline
End-to-end optimisation of formats, sizes and delivery for a media-heavy storefront.
WCAG AA audit
Contrast, semantics and keyboard navigation fixed while the layout was already open.
Web Vitals budget
Measured LCP, CLS and INP against a permanent performance budget.
